Veterans March & Ceremony - 10:00 A.M.

A Veterans March will begin at the Canal Winchester Community Center at 22 S. Trine Street. Veterans will make their way through the city’s flag-lined downtown streets, traveling west along E. High Street in downtown Canal Winchester), where a traditional Veterans Day ceremony will be held.  The ceremony will begin immediately following the Veterans March.

Veterans marching through the city’s historic downtown will be joined by several military vehicles provided by Motts Military Museum from Groveport, Ohio. The ceremony will include remarks from Canal Winchester Mayor Mike Ebert and VFW Post 10523 Commander Rick Williams, as well as a patriotic keynote address from a featured speaker (TBD).  Other highlights will include a special performance of our National Anthem by Councilman Mike Walker, patriotic selections by CWHS Marching Band and CWHS Select Vocal Ensemble, a 21 Gun Salute, and the playing of Taps.
